Welcoming Note by the Head of Host Organization

3rd PCGIAP UN sponsored Land Administration Forum (Re-Engineering the Cadastre To Support E-Government) will be held at Homa Hotel Tehran, Iran from 24 to 26 May 2009. The Iran’s Deeds and Properties Registration Organization is honored and privileged to play host to this important event.

The primary aim of this Forum is to discuss issues and share land administration experiences in the Asia-Pacific region to maximize the economic, social and environmental benefits of geographic information. This meeting would serve as a focal point for a series of related and planned activities and provide the opportunity to share and learn more of each other's experience.

I am confident that everyone will benefit tremendously from this gathering. The forum is three days programmed, Chaired by Professor Ian Williamson and co-chaired by Associate Professor Abbas Rajabifard. The title is “Re-Engineering the Cadastre To Support E-Government”.
